To the residents of the Ninth Essex District:
I have had the pleasure of meeting many of you during the past few months as I
have visited homes and attended events in our district. During my conversations
with the people of the district, I have been energized by the excitement that
the people I hope to represent have shown about the upcoming election for State
Representative. The encouragement I have received from so many of you is
humbling and very much appreciated.
I have worked my entire life to build a successful business with my family. I
understand what people want and what they are looking for. When my family opened
the Kowloon Restaurant 60 years ago, it was at 30- seat capacity business. My
grandparents and parents worked hard to achieve the American dream. They taught
my brothers, sisters and me that nothing comes easy and instilled in all of us
that hard work and dedication to family and community will result in success. I
am proud of what my family has achieved through hard work and determination.
As a result of this hard work and good business practices, we have been
fortunate and have shared that good fortune with many charities within the local
communities. We also employ over 250 people and have many employees who have
been with us for over 50 years. I say this to point out to the people of the
Ninth Essex District that jobs and economic stability are key factors in my
campaign for State Representative. My experience has demonstrated that I have
the skills to best achieve the basic need of our citizens: JOB CREATION and JOB
RETENTION.
When it comes to job creation and job retention, I will work hard to bring about
changes on Beacon Hill. In November, I hope that I will be given the opportunity
to apply not only my business experience, but also the value of hard work and
dedication to family and community to bring about more opportunities and a
better life for all of us.
